Virginia Beach is located on the Eastern coast
of the USA. Its climate is humid due to the moderate effect of the ocean
at that zone. The average annual temperature is around 15 ºC and
the wettest seasons are spring and summer although rainfalls are almost
constant throughout the year.
Its nickname
is “The Queen city” or “The Hornet’s Nest”.
In 2007, its metropolitan area had an estimated population of 1,897,034.
The city has cool winters and warm, humid summers. The highest recorded
temperature is 40ºC.
There are many museums in Charlotte, like The Mint Museum of Craft Art,
and many things to do; some of them are the fun tours.

Nashville
is situated in the centre of Tennessee; it is next to river Cumberland
and its population is 569,891 inhabitants. In 1918 a train crashed to
another and 101 people died whereas 171 were injured; this accident
in Nashville was very important.
Nashville is called “The Music City” and it’s the
capital of the country western music.
Important celebrities were born in Nashville as Justin Timberlake or
Miley Cyrus.
New Orleans is the largest city of Louisiana. It
is important because the civil war took place there and the city suffered
the effects of hurricane Katrina.
New Orleans area is home to numerous celebrations the most popular of
which is carnival.
In New Orleans there is a museum called “The national World War
II Museum” opened to provide information on the invasion of Normandy,
France.

Miami is famous for its warm and friendly
climate, which makes it one of the major destinations in North America.
The average temperature during the winter months is around 20 ºC.
Miami has early and warm springs and long autumns that sometimes extend
into middle December, with bright skies.
Charleston
is located just south of South Carolina coastland. It is the second most
populated city in South Carolina closely to the state capital, Columbia.
The city was founded as Charles town, Carolina. In 1670 Charleston was
the fifth largest city in North America; it was also one of the first
colonial cities.
It has a subtropical humid climate. Summer is hot and humid, the area’s
coastal situation helping to keep things cooler than inland. It is also
the wettest season with almost half the annual rainfall occurring during
summer.
Charleston is a city of celebrations. Some of the most widely-known include
the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition or the Annual Festival of Houses
and Gardens.

Atlanta has a subtropical wet
climate: wet summers and mild winters with a bit of snow.
The importance of Atlanta is related to the black people movement and
their civil rights. In 1957, Martin Luther King Jr. founded the Southern
Christian Leadership Conference to issue the movement of the racial
consent.
You can see the picture of Margaret Mitchel House and Museum, which
is the house of the woman who wrote Gone with the Wind, published in
June 1936.
Atlanta is located in the SE of USA. It has the biggest company of Coca-Cola
in the world. It is the capital and the largest city in USA state of
Georgia. The population is around 61% of black people and 39% of white
people.
Historically, Atlanta was the scenery of several important battles and
it was the venue for the Olympic Games in 1993.
